I’ve been using Windows Live Writer (and it may come down to that again) for a while to update this blog. Well, sort of update this blog. I haven’t done anything with it in a LONG time. I don’t think I’ve even had but one unique visitor to the site in the last few months. Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure that one unique visit was, well, ME!
A New Entry from a New Operating System
Of course, it’s been a while. I don’t think there’s anyone on the planet (who doesn’t do this professionally) who updates on a timely, regulated schedule. Anyway. I’ve since (almost) completely ditched Windows. “Why, Roper! Why other options could you possibly have?!” you might ask. Well, my friends, I’ve joined the Ubuntu front. Check it out. No, really. Do.
A Journey of Epic Proportions
Yesterday, my sister and I embarked on a journey that (little did I know) would take us on a grand tour of all the parts of Memphis we didn’t know existed. Our main objective was to take her Macbook to the Apple store to have the optical drive repaired/replaced. We got to the Apple store alright. It was our journey after that left me wondering why in the hell we had done this.

I find I’m somewhat incapable of entering information into this blog on a regular basis. Whether it’s from apathy, a general lack of things to blog about, or simple forgetfulness, I cannot tell you. However, there have been a few things that have happened since I last updated.
- I began working the audio-visual equipment at the church
- I quit smoking
- I almost died
- I found some cool apps for iPhone
- I played around with an iPad
- I started a Tumblr

It has been some time since I last issued an update. The world remains largely the same, although there are quite a few advances in the field of Internet technology that will cast us farther into the future than I had planned for a cold, less-rainy-than-usual December. Sometime last week (at least, I think it was last week), Google announced a couple of new search features — real time updates when doing a web search and an application that is quite fun to say (and I imagine MUCH more entertaining whilst intoxicated), Google Goggles.
